Gumby's ready for the party!
Searching for someone to answer.

Our village is still amazed with a video camera. They are used to still cameras...but pictures with sound are still amazing!

Our village sister.

Medical Clinic

Just some pics from a new village we visited. There was a medical team in town, so we helped do some translating for them.

Weddings

Wedding bells are even ringing loud in Timbuktu (or at least they're banging on drums)! One of our closest friends recently got married, so we were excited to be able to participate in all of the wedding activities.

All of her friends give gifts and they have put them all on display in this china cabinet. You can also notice that they decorate the walls with tapestries. Her friends did all of this without her seeing it! My favorite dish in the cabinet is a plate that has a snowman on it with the words to "Frosty the Snowman" written all around the plate!

Our friend with henna on her hands after her wedding but before she has moved into her new house.

Our language helper at the wedding dance.

Our friend getting braided for the wedding. They keep her face covered, and she isn't supposed to talk to anyone while all her friends around her are singing and playing drums!

It's Potato Season

One load of potatoes that Alyson and I carried on our heads! Our village family farms potatoes, so we helped bring them in from the garden.
